Summary
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team at White Orchid Hospice in Houston, TX. This role is vital in supporting our healthcare professionals and ensuring smooth administrative operations, contributing significantly to our mission of providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to healthcare staff.
- Manage patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with medical billing and coding processes.
- Coordinate scheduling for patient appointments and follow-ups.
- Maintain organized filing systems for medical documentation.
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Support insurance verification processes as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.
Qualifications * Proven experience in medical administrative support or similar roles.
- Familiarity with medical billing, coding, and record-keeping practices.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Experience with insurance verification is a plus.
