Junior Controller
Location: Santa Ana, CA (On-Site, Full-Time)

We are a trusted leader in the commercial and municipal pump, VFD, and water filtration market. Based in Santa Ana, we specialize in troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of critical infrastructure systems. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Junior Controller to support our financial operations and help drive growth with sound accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger accuracy in QuickBooks Desktop
- Process progressive billing and track customer invoicing milestones
- Review and reconcile time cards, including prevailing wage compliance
- Complete A/R and A/P responsibilities
- Assist with daily, monthly, and quarterly financial close activities
- Collaborate with operations on job costing and margin tracking
- Support internal and external audits
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and process controls
Qualifications:
Must Haves
- 5 years of accounting experience in a service, maintenance, or project-based equipment sales business
- Strong work experience of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
· Proven experience handling:
o Accounts payable and receivable
o General ledger and journal entries
o Bank and credit card reconciliations
o Month-end and year-end close processes
· Familiarity with job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) tracking, and project-based accounting
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growing company
Preferred but Not Required
- Prior experience supporting field service teams or coordinating with service dispatch/FSM tools
- Exposure to financial reporting for leadership or ownership
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Experience with sales tax tracking, payroll coordination, and external CPA/audit prep

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
