Duties
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards.
- Utilize kitchen equipment and tools safely, including knives and other food preparation devices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Support cooks and chefs in various culinary tasks, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety and quality of all meals served.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in inventory management by helping to track supplies and report shortages.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
