Capstone Roofing is looking for a motivated Laborer – Roofing to join our team. Our employees are the heart of our company, and we value people who show up ready to work, bring a strong work ethic, and want to learn and grow in the roofing trade.
Important Requirements (Read Before Applying):
- Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites daily.
- Must be comfortable working at heights—rooftops, ladders up to 40 feet, and scaffolding.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Responsible for being at work, ready, and properly dressed at the appointed time.
- Responsible for the safe & proper handling of company tools and equipment.
- Assisting crew in setting up project sites including equipment and materials.
- Assist in the removal and disposal of debris on job site.
- Assist in the clean-up of job sites to ensure it is clear of hazards.
- Continuously observing and learning from more experienced crew members to learn and build the
- Support skilled roofers and assist with installations as instructed by crew foreman.
- Follow OSHA regulations and other regulatory agencies relating to job site safety and demonstrate safe
- Reports any unsafe condition or act to a Foreman immediately.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, foremen, and team members to ensure clear instructions and
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in residential or commercial roofing.
- Experienced with the safe operation of trade hand tools.
- Basic understanding of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques
- Is able and comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders & scaffolding, and lift and carry materials.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, foremen, and other team members.·
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Material Handling: Safely and efficiently handle and manage roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
- Familiar with OSHA regulations and safety standards related to roofing work.
- Is available to work 5-6 days per week and overtime as needed.
- Must be able and comfortable to work consistently outside in a wide variety of weather conditions.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position, including mobility needed to complete tasks.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 80 pounds on a regular
- Must be able to work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and pitched rooftops for prolonged periods.
- Must have the ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Frequent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, and fall
- Must be able to hear and communicate clearly to ensure safety and coordination on job sites.
- Must be able to climb ladders up to 40 feet and access confined or awkward spaces when necessary.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and balance.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
