Social Media Assistant Position at Better K9 Pet Resort LLC
About the Role
Better K9 Pet Resort LLC is searching for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Assistant to help highlight the fun, energetic, and training-focused care provided to dogs throughout the Inland Empire. This is a hybrid position that is mostly remote, but requires one in-person day each week to capture photos and videos at our location. You will also be expected to attend special events, typically held on Saturdays for a few hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Post regularly to our social media channels 2–3 times per week, with flexible scheduling.
- Capture engaging photo and video content of dogs during daycare, boarding, training, and special events.
- Edit photos and videos for various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Create and schedule posts, stories, and reels that showcase our services, promotions, and community involvement.
- Utilize tools such as Canva, CapCut, and Instagram’s editing features.
- Assist in promoting special offers and events.
- Maintain an organized posting calendar and effectively manage your time.
- Ensure all content and messaging adheres to Better K9’s brand guidelines.
- Optional: Participate in additional training to develop skills in email marketing, advanced graphic design, or broader social media marketing strategies.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing social media accounts, either personally or professionally.
- Portfolio or references demonstrating your work (such as links to social media profiles or sample posts).
- Comfortable working with animals and a genuine love for dogs.
- Strong photography skills with an eye for capturing high-quality, fun, and engaging images.
- Proficiency in video editing (including CapCut and editing for Reels/TikTok).
- Basic graphic design skills, with preference for experience using Canva.
- Reliable, self-driven, and organized.
- Access to a personal phone and vehicle, as occasional travel to off-site events may be necessary.
