We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and organized, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other pastry tools.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute catering orders or special events.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; assist in ordering as needed.
- Maintain proper food handling practices throughout the cooking process.
- Assist in the training of junior kitchen staff in pastry techniques and food safety practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a culinary environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, especially in pastry and dessert production.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives and baking machinery.
- Excellent understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for culinary arts.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required.
