Position Overview:
As the final stop in the patient experience, you'll be stationed at our check-out window, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include collecting out-of-pocket fees, scheduling return appointments, and completing various patient-oriented tasks, all while maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior medical office experience highly preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Quick, eager learning abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, dependable, with a talent for building positive interpersonal relationships
- Proficient in multitasking and working efficiently in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment
- Basic administrative accounting skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Professionalism and organizational prowess
- Flexibility in scheduling, as end times may vary due to patient occupancy
Responsibilities:
- Determine and collect out-of-pocket amounts, including co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance
- Provide exceptional communication and assistance to patients, both in person and over the phone
- Handle end-of-day deposits with precision
- Manage filing and scanning duties effectively
- Coordinate return appointments with patients
- Assist in billing and insurance inquiries
- Prioritize daily tasks and meet deadlines consistently
- Undertake any other duties as required or assigned
- Assist in billing vision and medical insurance
- Assist with patient appointment triage
