We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager, Identity & Authentication to define and drive the strategy for Dotdash Meredith’s centralized Identity & Access Management (IAM) and authentication services. In this role, you will own the roadmap for seamless, secure access experiences that power every interaction across our platforms—both for external users and internal teams.
This position is hybrid, based in New York, New York with in-office presence required three days per week and flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week.

About The Positions Contributions:
Weight % - Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
- 60% - Stakeholder Strategy & Platform Vision – Define and own the platform roadmap for IAM and authentication services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cross-functional priorities. Partner with business, product, and customer-facing teams to deeply understand user needs, anticipate challenges, and translate them into strategic solutions. Communicate technical concepts and platform strategy clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Prioritize initiatives that maximize impact, reduce friction, and enable secure, seamless access across products.
- 40% - Program, Process & Engineering Enablement – Drive execution by partnering with engineering teams to deliver reusable, scalable IAM and AuthZ services. Establish best practices for identity integrations and API design, reduce duplication, and provide guidance on platform adoption. Support internal teams with documentation, onboarding, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth implementation and operational reliability. Monitor metrics to continuously improve usability, security, and performance.
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 5-7+ years in Identity & Access Management and technical product management
- Proven ability to deliver IAM/AuthZ products with real-world business impact
- Experience working with APIs, centralized service platforms, or service-oriented architectures
- Expertise in identity standards, SSO, and authentication protocols
- Proven success translating technical concepts to business and product stakeholders
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
- 10+ years in product management, with substantial experience in internal platforms, developer tools, or ML infrastructure
- Experience designing and driving adoption of migration strategies and self-serve capabilities
- Deep fluency in partnering with engineers on architecture, tradeoffs, and system design – Platform as a Product thinking
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with empathetic customer insight
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills; ability to influence and align stakeholders without authority
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and modern experimentation practices

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $150,000 - $175,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
