Remote Customer Service Representative (Cold Calling / Sales Focus)
We are a rapidly growing small business based in Cary, NC, specializing in the repair of dental drills and handpieces. We are seeking a motivated, confident Customer Service Representative who thrives in a phone-based role and has prior experience with cold calling and proactive outreach.
This is a remote, part-time contract position starting at $18/hour plus opportunities for commission. Hours are flexible within standard business hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm). Candidates must be local to the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area.
Position Overview
The right candidate will be a self-assured, emotionally intelligent communicator who is comfortable initiating conversations, building rapport, and confidently presenting our services to new prospects. This role is critical to developing new business and strengthening existing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound cold calls to prospective customers, introducing our services and generating new business.
- Follow up with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and identify additional needs.
- Maintain a positive, professional phone presence that builds trust and credibility.
- Keep accurate notes and contribute to a strong remote team dynamic.
Required Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in cold calling, telemarketing, or phone-based sales is required.
- Strong communication skills in English, with a professional and engaging demeanor.
- Excellent phone etiquette, active listening skills, and quick thinking.
- Positive attitude and self-motivated work ethic.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $18/hour + commission opportunities.
- Schedule: 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility during Mon–Fri business hours.
