JOB SUMMARY
KIOTI Tractor, a leader in the design and manufacture of compact tractors, utility vehicles, turf care, and compact construction equipment, is seeking a Telematics/IT director with a strong background in digital solutions, app/web content, IT/Infrastructure and telematics. This role plays a critical part in driving new business opportunities and revenue growth by leveraging advanced connectivity technologies and data-driven services. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and ensuring the successful delivery of telematics products and services. Key responsibilities include developing product strategies, managing teams of product managers and system administrators, database specialists, IT helpdesk, and collaborating with various stakeholders to align telematics initiatives with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in product and business planning within the telematics or mobility connectivity space, along with a comprehensive understanding of how data from connected equipment can be transformed into valuable customer-facing solutions and maintain company’s IT and infrastructures such as ERP/CRM system. This position will be instrumental in shaping and commercializing innovative digital offerings that align with KIOTI’s long-term strategic goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB

Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for telematics products, solutions, and their integration into broader business initiatives. Provide thought leadership and influence long-term strategic goals for telematics offerings.
- Lead and mentor teams responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and managing telematics solutions.

Product Development and Management:
- Lead the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond and oversee the design, development, and management of new and existing telematics solutions, including features, upgrades, and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, sales, marketing) to ensure product development meets customer needs and aligns business priorities.
- Define and monitor success metrics for the telematics portfolio to provide leadership visibility into product performance and overall health, and manage and prioritize product feature backlogs and development, defining detailed specifications for development teams.

Analytics and Data Insights:
- Manage the analysis and research of existing and competitive telematics offerings to inform product design recommendations, focusing on factors like insurance pricing and user experience.
- Leverage data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python, Tableau, Snowflake, Excel) to monitor business performance, communicate results, and identify growth opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer requirements to identify new business opportunities.

Collaboration and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., product management, sales, customer success, marketing) to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
- Direct relationships with external vendors, partners, and suppliers to support product development efforts, including selection, expense management, and performance monitoring.
- Actively participate in industry forums and events to build relationships and expand market presence.
- Digital Service Planning & Operations: Plan and manage the process for delivering valuable digital content and services to users. Curate, promote, and optimize customer-generated and in-house content to increase web and app engagement and user retention.
- Business Development & Revenue Modeling: Evaluate the value of products, data, and services delivered to customers. Design and propose revenue models based on content usage and subscription behavior. Continuously refining pricing and business models to ensure competitiveness and customer appeal.
- Manage IT/Infra team: Maintain the company’s ERP/CRM etc. IT related assets, data security, helpdesk etc.
EDUCATIONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or Information Systems, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in telematics and digital content business, including functional design, business development, and monetization strategies in mobility industry (automotive, trailer, tractor or else)
- Proven experience in content and product strategy development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of data-driven decision-making
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead complex initiatives across cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to create, edit, and curate high-quality digital content across various platforms
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, best practices in digital marketing, and content performance analytics
- Technologically proficient, with knowledge of web/app platforms, software tools, and digital service infrastructure
- ERP/CRM experience will be a plus, but not a must
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Preferred: Experience in product or business planning related to telematics or connected services in the mobility, automotive, agricultural or construction equipment industries and IT/Infra functions.
