We are currently recruiting for the position of Welcome Center Coordinator.
Schedule: Weekday 2nd Shift
Hourly Rate: $19.50/hr
The tasks and responsibilities required for the Welcome Center Coordinator are outlined below:
- Inbound responsibilities include “Arriving” and “Checking In” the trailer by entering related information, such as the trailer number and bill number from the inbound BOL into the WMS system after the trailer has been physically verified against the inbound bill of lading as per outlined procedures.
- Outbound responsibilities include “Dispatching” the trailer in WMS by entering related information, such as the carrier move ID and trailer number after the outbound loaded trailer has been physically verified for trailer number, box temperature, reefer setting and seals according to the provided Outbound Trailer Tracker sheet and per outlined procedures.
- Gates out empty trailers in WMS after physically verifying trailer is empty.
- Welcomes and logs in all visitors and contractors and contacts expecting parties.
- Maintain a manual log of Inbound and Outbound trailer activity.
- Ensures any maintenance or repair issues for the building facilities, vehicles and equipment are addressed and communicated to management.
- Exhibits safe behaviors and always promotes safe work practices.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The skills and responsibilities required of the Welcome Center Coordinator are outlined below:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Previous general warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, familiarity with EXCEL, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to frequently lift 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Must have excellent communication skills while exhibiting a pleasant and professional demeanor when dealing with customers, carriers and drivers.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation and communication.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as bill of lading (BOL).
- Maintain an acceptable personal appearance.
- Responsible for following good housekeeping rules to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions and perform light snow removal when necessary.
