CURRENT SCHEDULE NEED:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Every other Saturday (events, camps, parties)
Some flexibility and occasional sub shifts available
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for an energetic, outgoing instructor to lead fun fitness classes for children ages 3 through 6th grade. You will set up and coach simple fitness stations (no heavy lifting programs), design mini obstacle or activity zones, keep kids safe, and help our program grow. This role is active and hands-on. Ideal for someone who loves working with kids, brings positive energy, and can confidently manage a small group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead age-appropriate fitness and movement activities (fundamental motor skills, light agility, balance, games)
- Set up and tear down stations (cones, hoops, light mats, beanbags, etc.)
- Adapt activities for different ages and abilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized play and exercise area
- Give clear, encouraging instructions; manage behavior positively
- Track attendance and basic progress or participation
- Communicate briefly with parents/guardians at drop-off and pick-up
- Assist with designing new seasonal stations and special activity days
- Support occasional Saturday events (every other week) and fill in as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with children (coaching, camp counselor, babysitting with structure, church or school helper, etc.)
- High energy, enthusiastic, and dependable
- Able to demonstrate and perform basic movements (run, hop, crawl, squat, shuffle)
- Strong communication skills (clear, simple directions)
- Willing to obtain background check (required before start)
PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED):
- CPR / First Aid certification (or willing to obtain within 60 days)
- Prior youth coaching or group activity leadership
- Basic understanding of kids safety (spacing, hydration, age-appropriate effort)
- Experience creating stations, circuits, or PE-style games
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
On feet most of shift; moving light equipment (generally under 30 lbs); frequent bending, kneeling, and floor-level interaction with younger kids.

- Starting pay: $15.00 per hour (performance-based increases possible)

Potential to move into Lead Instructor or Program Coordinator as enrollment grows (additional hours, curriculum input, event leadership).
