About the Role:
You will facilitate therapeutic groups aimed at helping children develop essential social, emotional, and behavioral skills. Working under clinical supervision, you’ll deliver evidence-based behavioral health services in schools and community settings. Your focus will be on skill development, anger management, and supporting mental health recovery through both Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) and Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR).
What You’ll Do:
- Lead structured, goal-oriented group sessions tailored to children’s developmental needs.
- Implement group activities that teach coping, problem-solving, and social skills.
- Collaborate with co-facilitators, group support staff and supervisors to create a safe, therapeutic environment.
- Use evidence-based techniques to address behavioral and emotional challenges.
- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting plans to meet individual needs.
- Provide psycho-education to increase client understanding of mental health and treatment.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision to support your professional growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children and adolescents in behavioral health or related social services.
- Strong communication skills and cultural competency to engage diverse populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams and adapt to changing program needs.
- Willingness to travel locally to provide services at schools and other community sites.
- Commitment to upholding client confidentiality and professional ethics.
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field preferred, or High School Diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Licensed therapists (LSW, LPC) with experience in counseling children/adolescents are encouraged to apply.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background screenings and maintain all required licenses/certifications.
