This is an opportunity to shape how our people experience and adopt significant changes across technology, processes, organisational structures and ways of working.You’ll work across complex programs and projects, partnering with senior leaders, executives, project teams and people leaders to ensure change is understood, embraced and successfully embedded.As a trusted change advisor, you’ll bring structure, energy and a people-centred approach to transformation — helping Uniting achieve meaningful and sustainable business outcomes.About the roleAs Senior Change Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of end-to-end change strategies across major organisational initiatives.You’ll be responsible for:Developing and implementing change management strategies that maximise adoption, minimise resistance and deliver sustainable outcomes.Leading change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, learning, readiness and adoption activities.Partnering with program and project teams to embed change management throughout the project lifecycle.Building strong relationships with senior leaders, executives and people leaders, coaching them to effectively sponsor, lead and reinforce change.Using data, insights and stakeholder feedback to identify risks, barriers and opportunities and develop practical solutions.Supporting leaders and teams to understand what change means for them and confidently adopt new ways of working.Providing mentoring, guidance and quality assurance to less experienced change practitioners.Leading and developing a team of up to four change practitioners, including allocating work, supporting capability development and maintaining quality standards.Contributing to the ongoing development and maturity of Uniting’s enterprise Change Management Framework, tools, standards and practices.Championing a consistent One Uniting approach to change across programs and projects.Supporting continuous improvement and keeping up to date with emerging change management practices and industry trends.Ensuring change activities are delivered in a way that supports Uniting’s strategic priorities, values and commitment to person-centred service delivery.Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.About youYou’re an experienced change professional who knows that successful transformation is about more than implementing a new system or process — it’s about helping people understand, adapt and thrive through change.To be successful in this role, you will have:Significant Change Management experience across complex organisational, technology or business transformation initiatives.Demonstrated end-to-end change management experience, from developing the change strategy and conducting impact assessments through to stakeholder engagement, communications, learning, readiness, implementation and sustained adoption.Previous experience leading people with direct reports — including allocating work, providing coaching and feedback, developing capability and supporting team performance.A proven track record of delivering change across large-scale enterprise programs or complex transformation initiatives.Strong experience partnering with senior leaders, executives and project teams to influence outcomes and build effective change sponsorship.The ability to manage multiple change initiatives and competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on quality and outcomes.Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels.Strong problem-solving, negotiation, mediation and conflict-resolution skills.Experience using recognised change management methodologies such as Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter or similar frameworks.The ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership and operating independently.A strong understanding of Work Health & Safety and risk management principles.It would be great if you also haveProsci Change Management or Agile certification.Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in organisational change, organisational psychology, communications, management or a related discipline.Experience delivering large-scale enterprise or technology transformation across geographically dispersed teams.Experience working within the not-for-profit, health, community or human services sector.Experience leading and developing other change practitioners.Should you have any questions, please contact Dina Oraha at [email protected] Uniting?Join more than 12,000+ employees working together to inspire people, enliven communities, and confront injustice.
