ICT Project Manager - Federal Government

APG Workforce is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to support a major Federal Government client in Canberra.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to contribute to complex ICT projects that support critical government services used by millions of Australians.

About the Role

As an ICT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing and delivering projects across the full project lifecycle. Working under broad direction, you will ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.

You will work closely with business areas, technical teams, senior executives, vendors and external stakeholders to deliver project outcomes and support successful implementation.

Key

responsibilities

• Deliver complex ICT projects from planning through to implementation.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks and dependencies.
• Manage stakeholders across business, technical and executive levels.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, briefs and governance materials.
• Monitor scope, quality, milestones, budget and project outcomes.
• Manage procurement, contracts and project expenditure.
• Lead project teams and support continuous improvement and change.

Essential experience:

• Demonstrated delivery of complex ICT projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels.
• Excellent organisation and time management, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing project plans, schedules and status reports.
• Proven project budget and financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of project/program management frameworks.

Desirable: Federal Government or large, highly regulated environment experience.
