About the opportunity
As the Manager, IT, you will lead the secure, reliable and effective delivery of ICT operations, infrastructure and modern workplace services across TIQ's domestic and international network. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will provide technical leadership, manage operational priorities and suppliers, and ensure technology services remain compliant and aligned with organisational objectives.
The role combines operational leadership with planning, risk management, project delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will lead technical resources, direct the work of the Senior Desktop Officer and work closely with business areas, government partners and service providers to deliver customer-focused technology outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and improve ICT operations, infrastructure, systems, applications and support services within a regulated and Zero Trust environment
- Manage service performance and operational priorities, including incidents, technical issues and service improvements
- Provide strategic and technical advice to senior management on technology issues, risks and business requirements
- Lead ICT projects and minor works, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, time, budget and quality requirements
- Contribute to TIQ's IT strategy and lead technology roadmaps and operational plans to maintain fit-for-purpose services and minimise technical debt
- Oversee end-user computing and modern workplace services, including Microsoft 365, Windows, Intune, mobile device management and endpoint security
- Manage ICT operational risks, control weaknesses, service issues and vulnerabilities, implementing mitigations and escalating material risks where required
- Manage supplier performance, licensing and service delivery arrangements to support value for money, compliance and quality outcomes
- Lead and support team members by setting priorities, fostering development, wellbeing and high performance
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, government agencies, vendors and service providers, translating technical information into business-focused advice
Our ideal candidate
You are an experienced ICT leader with a background in service delivery, infrastructure, modern workplace technologies and technology governance. You lead technical teams, manage competing priorities and provide practical advice to senior and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Microsoft 365, ICT architecture, project and supplier management, risk, continuous improvement and frameworks such as ITIL will be highly regarded.
