Job Description
The primary role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to support development and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, and documentation to meet current and future production volume, safety, quality, and cost requirements.
The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with cross functional teams to support assembly and packaging operations and ensuring manufacturing systems consistently meet production, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Let's talk about Responsibilities
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of equipment, process, and production issues, utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Support the design, installation, commissioning, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and automation systems to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Develop and execute equipment and process validation activities, including IQ, OQ, PQ, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal quality requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver manufacturing improvements and resolve technical challenges.
- Analyse equipment performance, downtime, OEE, yield, and process data to identify trends, improve reliability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing documentation including work instructions, SOPs, equipment specifications, validation protocols, risk assessments, and change documentation.
- Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance teams on equipment operation, troubleshooting techniques, and process requirements.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with GMP, safety standards, environmental requirements, and applicable quality system procedures.
Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience
Required
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline. 3 years of experience in related industry
- Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to systematically investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across production, quality, maintenance, and project teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of technical tasks and projects.
- Experience interpreting technical documentation, engineering drawings, procedures, and equipment manuals.
Preferred
- 3-5 years of experience supporting manufacturing equipment, automation systems, packaging equipment, or production processes.
- Knowledge of validation methodologies and experience in performing IQ, OQ, PQ and process validation.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis, or DMAIC.
- Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment, vision systems, robotics, sensors, or automated production systems.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar analysis software.
