An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Network Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-profile program delivering critical technology solutions within a highly secure Government environment.

Working on outcomes of national security significance, you'll design, implement and support enterprise virtualisation, compute, backup and infrastructure platforms across complex and secure environments.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Designing, building and maintaining enterprise VMware vCenter and ESXi environments.
• Supporting highly available clusters, virtual machines, compute and storage platforms.
• Implementing and supporting Commvault backup, recovery and data protection services.
• Working with HPE server, compute and storage technologies.
• Using VMware Aria / vRealize for monitoring, automation, orchestration and capacity management.
• Monitoring infrastructure performance, availability and capacity and troubleshooting complex incidents.
• Delivering upgrades, patching, migrations and technology refresh activities.
• Applying infrastructure security, hardening, access control and configuration management practices.
• Producing technical designs, implementation plans, build guides and support documentation.

About You

You will bring:

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vCenter Server and ESXi.
• Demonstrated enterprise infrastructure and virtualisation engineering experience.
• Experience with Commvault or similar enterprise backup technologies.
• Experience with HPE compute, server and/or storage technologies.
• Exposure to VMware Aria and/or vRealize.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, hardening, patching, monitoring and configuration management.
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Security Clearance

You must be an Australian Citizen and currently hold and maintain an active TSPV security clearance to be considered.

Due to the secure nature of the environment, this position is 100% onsite in Melbourne.

Both permanent and contract arrangements will be considered.
