We are looking to expand our IT Support team in Cairns and are seeking highly motivated and dedicated support engineers to join our path to becoming one of the biggest and most experienced network innovators in Far North Queensland.

What your day-to-day looks like:

• Receive support requests via email and phone

• Manage technical incidents from end-to-end with the support of highly qualified and experienced network engineers

• Escalate incidents to the appropriate department managers as required

• Design, plan, and configure network hardware for deployment to customers across Australia

• Assist field resources with installations and troubleshooting network faults

• Research, configure, and test new technologies to ensure they are fit-for-purpose

• Develop, publish, optimize, and maintain network documentation and asset registers

• Study and complete vendor certifications once a new product in onboarded for sale

• Attend customer sites to troubleshoot faults as required

Your Abilities and Experience

Depending on the position you apply for we expect:

• Strong customer service with a focus on providing an exceptional experience for our customers

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities using methodical and logical thought processes

• Professional and articulate verbal and written communication

• Experience working with external vendors (ticket creation, escalation, RMA)

• Strong knowledge of IP and subnetting

• Sound to expert knowledge of routing and switching protocols

• Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting routers and switches (Ubiquiti, Cisco, Peplink, Cambium, Fortiswitch, Ericsson Cradlepoint)

• Proven experience with Wi-Fi deployment and troubleshooting (Ubiquiti, FortiWAP)

• Proven firewall experience or willingness to complete certifications (Fortinet preferred)

• Experience or knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and configuration

• Experience or knowledge of LEO satellite technologies - desirable (Starlink)

• Knowledge of telephony - desirable (RingCentral, IPECS)
