We’re looking for an experienced System Test Analyst to join a large-scale digital transformation program. This is a contract opportunity through to 12 February 2027, based on-site in Darwin, NT. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and readiness of digital platforms through a combination of automated and manual testing.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Develop and execute manual test cases across functional, integration, system, regression and release testing.
  • Determine when automation, manual testing or a combination of both is most appropriate.
  • Perform API, end-to-end, exploratory, defect retesting and production verification testing.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
  • Analyse requirements to define test coverage and identify automation opportunities.
  • Manage test data, evidence, traceability and defect reporting.
  • Identify, track and support the resolution of defects, including triage and retesting.
  • Produce test artefacts, reports and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, solution architects and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent certification.
  • Strong experience as an Automation and Test Analyst within large and complex ICT programs.
  • Hands-on experience across both automated and manual testing.
  • Experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • Strong experience with functional, integration, system, regression and release testing.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured or SoapUI, as well as SQL for data validation.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins or similar.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC and software testing methodologies.
  • Experience with test and defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps Test Plans.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
