About the role
We have an opportunity for a Systems Administrator to be part of our Service Management Office, Technology and Communication Services Command team. The Systems Administrator supports service delivery to the organisation in the management of IT computer systems.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape and improve Change Enablement and Release Management practices across one of Australia's largest and most complex technology environments, supporting services that are critical to frontline policing and public safety.
- Lead the coordination and governance of technology changes and releases that support critical policing and corporate services across NSWPF.
- Act as a trusted advisor to technical teams, project managers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure changes and releases are planned, assessed, and implemented successfully.
- Drive continual improvement initiatives that enhance change success rates, reduce service disruption, and strengthen operational resilience.
- Manage and facilitate Change Advisory Boards (CABs), Release Governance forums, and change review activities to support informed decision making and effective risk management.
- Analyse change and release performance data, identify trends, and provide recommendations that improve service stability and organisational maturity.
- Support the development and implementation of enterprise change governance standards, policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
- Partner closely with Incident, Problem, Service Delivery, Architecture, Cyber Security, and Project teams to minimise change-related incidents and improve service outcomes.
- Play a key role in ensuring major releases, high-risk changes, and business critical deployments are appropriately assessed, governed, and communicated.
- Influence the adoption of modern Change Enablement and Release Management practices aligned to ITIL principles and NSWPF governance requirements.
- Mentor and support technical teams in the application of effective risk assessment, change planning, release coordination, and postimplementation review practices.
- Gain exposure to complex enterprise technologies, large-scale transformation initiatives, and strategic programs that directly support frontline policing operation
- Demonstrated experience in Change Enablement, Release Management, Service Management, or a related IT Service Management discipline within a complex operational environment.
- Strong understanding of ITIL Change Enablement, Release Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Continual Improvement practices.
- Experience facilitating Change Advisory Boards (CABs), governance forums, and stakeholder engagement across technical and business groups.
- Proven ability to assess change risk, coordinate enterprise releases, resolve scheduling conflicts, and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Experience using enterprise ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow to manage change and release processes, reporting, and governance activity.
