This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Commercial Finance Manager_BU based in Brazil.
This is a hands-on commercial finance leadership role supporting the performance of a major business unit in Brazil.
You will own financial planning, forecasting, modelling, reporting, and investment analysis to provide a clear view of business performance.
Working closely with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and other functions, you will turn complex data into actionable recommendations.
You’ll identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions, and help guide decisions that support sustainable growth and profitability.
The role also includes leading and developing a local finance team while strengthening financial discipline and operational processes.
You’ll have significant autonomy and visibility in a fast-moving, multinational environment where your analysis directly influences business strategy.

Accountabilities
- Lead the commercial finance agenda for the Brazil business, serving as a strategic finance partner to senior commercial and operational stakeholders.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles, translating commercial assumptions into clear financial outcomes.
- Deliver insightful analysis covering revenue, margins, operating expenses, cash flow, and overall business performance.
- Identify financial and operational risks and opportunities, recommend corrective actions, and support decisions that improve sustainable growth and profitability.
- Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews, presenting financial results, insights, and recommendations to local and regional stakeholders.
- Strengthen financial discipline, reporting accuracy, planning processes, and management information across the business.
- Develop robust business cases for strategic initiatives, investments, pricing decisions, and resource allocation.
- Lead, coach, and develop the local commercial finance team, setting clear priorities and high standards of performance.
- Collaborate with accounting, tax, treasury, and shared-services teams to maintain financial integrity and compliance.
- Improve reporting and analytical capabilities through automation, standardisation, data-driven processes, and effective use of business intelligence tools.
- Significant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, financial planning, or business partnering within a complex or multinational organisation.
- Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing finance professionals.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, management reporting, and performance analysis.
- A strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect financial insights to broader business strategy and operational decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, and communicate recommendations with confidence.
- Strong analytical judgement and the ability to transform complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
- High levels of autonomy, accountability, organisation, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP, financial planning, reporting, and business-intelligence platforms.
- Experience in software, technology, SaaS, or recurring-revenue businesses is advantageous.
- Previous responsibility for a business-unit or regional P&L is a plus.
- Experience working with international or matrixed teams is desirable.
- Knowledge of IFRS and Brazilian accounting and tax requirements is beneficial.
- Experience improving FP&A systems, dashboards, reporting automation, or analytical processes is an advantage.
- An MBA, postgraduate qualification, or recognised finance certification is a plus.
- Permanent, full-time CLT employment, working 42 hours per week.
