Performs a variety of selected assignments relating to the administrative services functions of a department, such as personnel management, budget and fiscal administration, organization and management, and related areas; analyzes and prepares reports on a variety of administrative and operational functions and problems; and performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualification Requirements: EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in business or public administration or a related field.

Work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Two years of professional (i.e., post-bachelor's degree, non-clerical) work experience in budget administration, personnel management, or management analysis. Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of methods and techniques for evaluating and analyzing facts, information, and issues to resolve problems; research and statistical methods and techniques; and report and letter writing. Such experience must also have demonstrated the ability to analyze and evaluate administrative problems, operations, programs, and fiscal information.
Non-Qualifying Experience: Having the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as qualifying for the position. Your overall experience must have been of such scope, level, and responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position. Most work experience in a professional-level administrative or managerial position includes some responsibility for budget, personnel, and/or management analysis functions. If the primary responsibility of the position is not concerned with professional-level budget administration, personnel management, and/or management analysis work, such experience is not considered qualifying for the position of Administrative Specialist I.

LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required.
