Construction Coordinator

Tulane University - New Orleans, LA

The individual will supervise, critically analyze, and document daily construction activities related to University projects. In addition, the incumbent will closely collaborate with other members of the project management team. Fulfillment of these roles will require knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials. This position will report directly to a Project Manager with additional oversight provided by a Director. The incumbent is expected to maintain a presence at the site on all Tulane campus during all periods of construction activity.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to utilize computer software programs and to learn new software programs relative to design, construction, and project management required

Ability to perform duties at other than normal working hours and days as required by construction schedules required

Ability to read and interpret architectural/constructions plans and specifications required

Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written reports required
Required Education and/or Experience

High School diploma and 5 years of directly related work experience
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in architecture or construction management preferred
