Full Time Innkeeper

Summary: Assists in managing the inn in a calm, professional and gracious manner. Must work to create a memorable experience for all guests by providing attentive and gracious service and hospitality, and by providing an atmosphere of comfort, fun and relaxation.

Must implement the finest hospitality for Inn on Randolph guests when management is absent, as well as doing the same when they are present.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reflect the mission of Inn on Randolph in words and action; to provide a sanctuary of peace, tranquility and fun for every person who enters.

  • Warmly answer the phones, answer questions and encourage callers to make reservations.
  • Breakfast service execution with our culinary team daily.
  • Prepares rooms for arrivals
  • Welcome guests for check-in and provide orientation tour of our property.
  • Conduct inn tours, promoting the inn to future guests.
  • Computer literacy; job requires frequent use of Word/Excel, Google Apps, E-mail, Websites, and the Inn’s property management system.
  • Concierge duties include assisting guests with dinner, entertainment and winery suggestions, making reservations for guests as appropriate.
  • Check-out departing guests accurately and encourage them to write reviews and spread the word about the Inn on Randolph.
  • Work with housekeeping staff in a professional and motivating manner, encouraging team spirit and positive outlook. Willingness to step in when extra help is needed is a must.
  • Marketing and Social Media- builds, launches, optimizes, and reports on social media campaigns
  • Prepare responses on review platforms in a consistent, graceful manor.

  • Terrific communication skills, using proper English. Excellent listening skills are an integral component of good communication skills.
  • Tech Savvy: skills in social media, writing and photo editing
  • Professional appearance
  • College degree preferred
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Ability to process with myriad interruptions
  • Food handlers card
  • Weekend availability and overall flexible schedule
  • 1 year prior hotel experience a plus
  • Must live in downtown Napa area or have extensive knowledge about the area
