Full Job Description

We are a 90 room boutique hotel located one block from the beach. We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets and operations. General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive.


  • Recruiting, training, and supervising staff including front desk, housekeeping, valet, maintenance, and security
  • Managing budgets
  • Maintaining statistical and financial records
  • Overseeing maintenance and room bookings
  • Handling customer complaints and queries
  • Promoting and marketing the business
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and licensing laws
  • Overseeing all reservations including reservations with wholesalers
  • Managing online hotel room inventory
  • Ordering all supplies for hotel
  • Problem solving issues that arise at hotel


  • A minimum of 5 years General Manager experience
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year

  • Setting and meeting goals for service, operations, and financial results
  • Maintaining excellent customer service standards
  • Maintaining property and equipment
  • Inspecting and adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines
