This Medical And Health care Administrative Professional

Position Features: We have an immediate need for a Medical Administrative Assistant.

Duties include; daily correspondence, scheduling surgeries and appointments, in-take new patients, maintain patient charts and special projects.

Basic Requirements: Strong computer skills.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of office related experience; administrative or customer service
  • Must have Microsoft Office skills: word, excel, outlook
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace
  • Health care administrative/customer service experience a plus
  • Credentialing experience a plus
Responsibilities:
  • Verify physician/provider information for managed care plans including communication with health plan representative and other staff as necessary
  • Manage telephone calls and emails professionally and effectively by determining the nature of the call, filtering where necessary and courteously dealing with inquiries
  • Prepare source data for database entry by compiling and sorting information, while establishing entry priorities
  • Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
  • Verify entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data
