Paid Search Specialist

RocketBike - Remote

As our Paid Search Specialist, you will help fulfill our growing demand for advertising strategy and campaign management services. This position will work alongside the RocketBike team to plan, create, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns that propel our clients to success.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and analyze paid search campaigns, largely for ecommerce product brands.

  • Day-to-day campaign optimization including but not limited to creating ad copy, conducting keyword research, identifying performance outliers, watching for weaknesses and new opportunities, organizing campaign structures, and compiling campaign data for deeper analysis.

  • Create, optimize and manage product data feeds

  • Uncover strategic insights and opportunities for key factors like:

    • Audience identification and segmentation
    • Messaging, ad copy, and creative content
    • Landing page content and user experience considerations

    • Tactics to grow and improve performance

    • Campaign goals and performance metrics

  • Analyze user behavior to identify opportunities to improve engagement, conversions, and other campaign performance metrics.

  • Work with company leaders, teammates, and clients as a constructive and collaborative partner to develop and refine new strategies, improvements, and campaign ideas.

  • Proactively monitor active campaigns and the progress of related work to make sure everything is running smoothly and nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Assist in client communication and project management to coordinate marketing activities with client in-house teams, share status updates, and analyze performance factors.

  • Continually expand your knowledge of best practices and strategies in digital advertising.

Approximate Time Allocation
  • 30% Campaign performance monitoring, testing, copywriting, tagging, and optimization
  • 20% Collaborative campaign management, coordinating deliverables and due dates, tracking milestones
  • 15% Developing strategies, planning for new initiatives, and drafting new plans
  • 15% Client communication, meetings
  • 15% Pulling data and creating performance reports
  • 5% Support drafting digital marketing processes and SOPs
  • 3+ years of experience managing paid search and shopping campaigns and in an agency or professional setting in platforms like Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager

  • Understanding of e-commerce best practices

  • Push yourself and others to keep campaigns, deliverables, and tasks organized.

  • Be a trustworthy partner to our clients and a good steward of their investment and trust in us.

  • Actively combat mediocrity. This can mean asking others to provide feedback, double checking a deliverable’s purpose/intent, or just waiting a day to review a second time. Whatever is the most efficient way to make sure we deliver greatness.

  • Suggest new/better ways to do our work if you see opportunities for improvement in our processes or any other aspect of RocketBike.

  • Don’t be afraid to “manage up” – let others (including superiors) know what you need from them and when you need it.

  • Maintain open communication to avoid duplicate work and minimize potential issues from teammates rowing in opposite directions.

  • Make executive decisions with confidence, but ask questions first if you have any uncertainty.
