Come join our family at In-N-Out Burger!The In-N-Out Burger Family Office (Finance & Investments) department has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Accountant based in the Irvine, CA* office. This position involves managing multi-entity accounting, trust administration support, tax coordination, and high-level financial reporting. The Family Office Accountant will report to the Investment Operations Supervisor and is responsible for providing support for all accounting related functions pertaining to the Family Office.
*This position is full-time, in-office only
General Responsibilities• Manage bookkeeping and accounting across multiple entities and trusts• Maintain general ledgers, prepare financial statements, and track entity performance• Administration and Point of contact for all Payroll needs for the Family Office• Perform year over year and monthly variance analysis for consolidated financial statements by working cross functionally to understand variances and ensure accuracy of financials.• Review month-end account reconciliations and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information• Review monthly reporting designed to assist operations and departments with understanding specific results• Responsible for preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations to support an accurate and timely financial close• Prepare documentation and support for annual tax filings for all entities and trusts. This includes partnership and communication with tax partners• Ensure all legal and tax obligations are met in a timely and organized manner• Monitor and maintain records for investment activity, asset holdings, and distributions• This position requires effective communication, confidentiality, and decision making
Work Schedule + Benefits• Full-time position, Exempt • Pay Range is $83,700 - $110,000 annualThe above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors. • Office Hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm• Department needs may call for occasional overtime • Excellent Benefits, to include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA’s, 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan, Adoption Assistance, Education Reimbursement, Supplemental Health Plans and Pet Insurance
Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)• Minimum of 2-5+ years of Accounting and Tax experience, including trust or multi-entity accounting• Deep understanding of entity structures, tax reporting requirements, and GAAP• Familiarity with estate planning and trust accounting standards• Experience coordinating with legal and tax professionals• Exposure to real estate investments, private equity, or passive income entities • Strong skills in QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial software• Discretion, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism• Strong moral compass: ability to operate with integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information
Work Location Details
In-N-Out Burger plans to bring its west coast headquarters team back together under one roof by the end of 2029. After maintaining two Southern California office locations for many years, the company will permanently close its Irvine office in 2029 and once again headquarter the company’s western territory solely in Baldwin Park, California, where the company was founded in 1948.
Newly hired Associates in Irvine will be eligible to participate in the group move to Tennessee with relocation assistance, or work from our western headquarters in Baldwin Park, CA, upon its opening in 2029.
