The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for general accounting duties which includes preparing journal entries, deal posting and gross profit calculations, reconciling balance sheet accounts and maintaining schedules.

- Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Hours and schedule may vary.
Responsibilities:
- Daily monitoring of key accounting schedules
- Posting new and used car deals to accounting
- Scan and Upload documents to Biller, Controller and Office Manager Daily
- Participate in month end closing and various account reconciliations
- Process bank contracts and floorplan payoffs
- Verify deal meets revenue recognition policy
- Review 100% of documents for accuracy (customer, lien holder, manufacturer, county and financial information)
- Verify payoff worksheets are complete, contain a per diem and have at least 10 days remaining in the “good-thru” date
- Reconcile various accounts in the general ledger relating to deal postings
- Update items daily in various excel formatted communications to management and outside department personnel
- Ability to add-subtract-multiply – and divide in all units of measure – using whole numbers – common fractions – and decimals.
Requirements:
- Must submit to a background check and drug test
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong Attention to Detail
- General Accounting Knowledge
- Must review all work for accuracy
- Understand deadlines and be able to apply the appropriate sense of urgency to call tasks
- Asst Office Manager OR Upper Management on an as needed basis
- Knowledge of CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds:Dealertrack DMS
