The Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board (FRWDB) is seeking to hire a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Accounting Facilitator. Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Facilitator will perform a variety of bookkeeping and accounting-related duties. These responsibilities include managing accounts payable, performing data entry, overseeing purchasing activities, and assisting with the preparation of general ledger reports and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and practices.
· Review and process invoices, assign appropriate accounting codes, and prepare payment vouchers.
· Perform high-volume data entry into accounting systems.
· Reconcile and balance general and subsidiary journals and ledgers.
· Record cash receipts and prepare bank deposits.
· Occasionally deliver documents to banking institutions for processing.
· Process checks in accordance with established procedures.
· File accounting documents on a weekly basis.
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience in bookkeeping and data entry.
· Strong account reconciliation skills.
· Demonstrate the ability to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
· Experience in generating invoices for billing purposes.
· Maintain a strong focus on accuracy and quality, in support of the agency’s public image.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
· Must have a valid California driver's license, personal automobile liability insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
