About the company: This opening is for the District of Columbia branch of a fast-growing, mid-size lobbying firm with multi-state reach. Additional information will be provided during interviews.
About the position: We are looking for a highly organized and efficient Administrative Assistant to add to our growing team. This forward-facing position will handle a wide variety of office administration tasks with a generous degree of autonomy and responsibility.

Essential Tasks of the Administrative Assistant
- Provide administrative support to Lobbyists/Partners
- Answer multi-line phone system and direct calls or take messages as appropriate
- Manage multiple Partner calendars: schedule meetings, events, and conference calls
- Act as face of the company when greeting high profile clients at the reception desk
- Prepare professional correspondence for review and dissemination
- Coordinate travel arrangements: book flights, rental cars, and hotel rooms; prepare travel expense reports
- Maintain organized filing system of important documents
- Process check requests
- Oversee timely ordering of office supplies
Requirements
To succeed in this position, you will need to have:
- MINIMUM of three (3)+ years of experience providing administrative support to c-level suite and managers
- Experience scheduling meetings in MS Outlook
- A high degree of tech savvy with the ability to learn new software and systems
- A polished, professional appearance and demeanor reflective of the company
- The ability to work core hours of 8:30 - 5:30pm Monday - Friday, plus additional hours as needed to complete your work
- The ability to pass a criminal background check
- Experience working at a lobbying firm (preferred) or legislative experience
