Key Responsibilities
Admissions Guidance and Application Planning
· Offer specialized advice to exceptional students regarding every facet of the U.S. college admissions process.
· Facilitate individual virtual counseling sessions through Zoom and Google Meet, assisting students in enhancing their applications, extracurricular profiles, and personal statements.
· Provide strategic guidance on Ivy League admissions, helping students comprehend how to present themselves as competitive candidates.
Application Review & Interview Preparation
· Perform comprehensive evaluations of applications, providing thorough insights on personal statements, supplemental essays, and overall application strategies.
· Conduct mock interviews to equip students for competitive admissions processes at Ivy League and top-tier universities.
Teamwork and Ongoing Development
· Collaborate with colleagues and the leadership team to establish effective strategies for admissions coaching.
· Keep informed about the latest admissions trends and policies at prestigious U.S. institutions.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- A former Admissions Officer from an Ivy League institution with expertise in application evaluation, candidate assessment, and conducting admissions interviews.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a reputable institution (Ivy League or top 20 schools prefered).
- Minimum of two years of experience in college admissions or a related counseling role.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, enabling effective engagement and guidance of students.
- Exceptionally organized, meticulous, and adept at thriving in a dynamic, deadline-focused setting.
Preferred:
- Experience counseling international students, particularly in highly competitive applicant pools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of scholarship opportunities and financial aid procedures for prestigious universities.
- Skilled in utilizing online communication and project management platforms.
