Position Summary:
As the Bar Supervisor at Luminarias, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience through vibrant hospitality, elevated service, and expertly crafted cocktails that reflect the bold flavors. You will oversee daily bar operations, lead and inspire the bar team, and ensure consistency in drink quality, speed of service, and ambiance. Responsibilities:
As the Bar Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the bar experience for our discerning clientele. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable bar service during all shifts, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and ambiance.
Supervise, train, and support bartenders and barbacks, fostering a positive team culture and high levels of performance.
Uphold consistency and quality in cocktail preparation, with a focus on fresh ingredients, flavors, and presentation.
Deliver attentive, warm, and personalized service, engaging guests with knowledge of the menu and Latin spirits such as tequila, mezcal, rum, and pisco.
Monitor bar inventory, place orders, manage deliveries, and minimize waste and loss through careful stock control.
Collaborate with the Beverage Manager and Executive Chef on seasonal cocktail menus and pairings that reflect Latin culture and innovation.
Ensure bar operations comply with health, safety, and local alcohol service laws maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times.
Oversee accurate cash handling, POS transactions, tip-out processes, and shift reporting.
Assist in planning and executing bar-focused events, tastings, or private parties that enhance the restaurant's lively and upscale atmosphere.
Encourage sales of featured cocktails, premium spirits, and food pairings through staff engagement and suggestive selling.
Developing and experimenting with new cocktail recipes and innovative techniques.
Staying up to date with industry trends and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale or fine dining environment.
At least 1-2 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a bar or restaurant setting.
Strong understanding of bar operations, inventory control, and beverage cost management.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to train, coach, and lead a diverse bar team with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Deep knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and other ingredients used in mixology.
Excellent customer service and communication skills to engage and interact with guests.
Strong multitasking abilities and the capability to handle a high-paced environment.
Understanding of responsible alcohol service and compliance with local laws and regulations.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays are Mandatory.
Ability to remain calm, courteous, and effective under pressure in a high-energy environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
