About Us:
Icon Construction is a fast-paced, growing company specializing in asphalt, concrete, and facilities maintenance. We're looking for a highly organized, experienced Bookkeeper to manage our books, process a high volume of invoices weekly, and deliver financial insights that help drive project performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process a large volume of vendor invoices weekly
- Maintain accurate and timely records in QuickBooks
- Track income and expenses for individual projects
- Prepare project-based financial reports to assess actual vs. estimated costs
- Generate and maintain WIP (Work in Progress) reports
- Assist with bonding paperwork and financial documentation requirements
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Support payroll, job costing, and budgeting as needed
- Assist with year-end closing, tax prep, and audits
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction or a related field
- Experience preparing WIP reports and tracking job profitability
- Understanding of bonding processes and required financial documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Clear, professional communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with project-based accounting and cost tracking
- Experience working with general contractors or subcontractors
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred but not required)
Compensation:
Competitive pay based on experience. Benefits available after 90 days [modify as needed to include PTO, 401(k), insurance, etc.].

Pay: $22.00 - $27.38 per hour
