Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Transactions: Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank deposits, and other financial activities.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reports: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Accounts Management: Maintain and manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Expense Tracking: Track and categorize expenses, ensuring they are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate financial records, both digital and physical, in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Payroll: Assist with payroll processing, including tracking employee hours, calculating wages, and ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing financial insights and recommendations as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Audit Preparation: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Occasional lifting of files or office supplies up to twenty (20) pounds.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in bookkeeping.
- Bookkeeping certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.
- A background check will be required.
