The Lead Client Support Staff is responsible for assisting Residential leadership with the planning, development and integration of operational, client care and program planning needs. In addition to providing support and supervision for clients with complex co-occurring disorders, the Lead Client Support Staff addresses issues that arise in response to fluctuating client census, staffing and program change-management needs. The Lead Client Support Staff participates in planning activities designed to improve department operations and enhance client care services. The Lead Client Support Staff assists with the implementation of various housing and maintenance needs and ensures facilities are safe and secure through the completion of procedures designed to oversee the overall well-being of staff, clients and their environments.

- Effectively support operational needs via project management planning, development, training implementation and communication.
- Send weekly reports and updates on current projects.
- Assess resource needs, communicate, acquire and follow-up.
- Participate in the effective operation of milieu-related activities ensuring client safety and participation, as well as supporting clients in adhering to the program and housing guidelines and expectations.
- Complete timely shift reports that convey clear and concise statements summarizing client’s feelings, presentation and response in clinically significant encounters.
- Remain updated on clients’ treatment plans and clinical structures and support adherence to those structures during 1:1 shifts, house/room checks, and any milieu interactions, community outings, etc.
- Assist clients with self-administration of medication and document accordingly.
- Provide client transportation and support, as needed, to medical appointments, outside recovery meetings, grocery shopping trips, recreational outings and other appointments, as indicated.
- Assist with admissions and discharges, including preparing client rooms, conducting bag searches, orienting new clients to the program and ensuring all related documentation is complete and accurate.
- Reports any immediate safety hazards to appropriate supervisory personnel or maintenance personnel.
- Participate in training, and meet licensure expectations related to training.
- Conduct UA testing as needed.
- Attending assigned weekly administrative, clinical, and training meetings.
- Ensure house supplies are maintained.
- Provide timely and exceptional communication with interdisciplinary team regarding client related concerns, housing concerns, and other information as deemed necessary.
- Fully understand and maintain policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality; monitor documents according to company and HIPAA policies.
- Professionally, ethically, and compassionately relates to clients, families, referral sources and staff.
- Meet timeliness expectations of completing work as scheduled, demonstrating self-paced performance and adjusting priorities as needed.
- Meet quality expectations of accuracy, completeness, and responsiveness to feedback.
- Model appropriate interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation, and boundaries.
- Model and reinforce positive behaviors of clients, and promotes social interaction by conversing with them, participating in activities with them, etc.
- Report resident abuse and neglect.
- Ability to demonstrate awareness and respect for cultural, lifestyle, age, gender, and sexual orientation diversities of clients and staff; apply knowledge of age, gender, and multi-cultural counseling skills.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Behavioral Health Technician (RBHT or BHT), bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or other health related field preferred.
- Two years of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Ability to implement and enforce program guidelines, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Preferred candidates should have sound understanding of mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and milieu therapy.
- Proficient computer skills and ability use various software programs.
- Have a valid driver’s license in good standing and auto insurance.
- Successfully complete drug screen and comprehensive background check.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as needed. Flexibility and adaptability in schedule are essential.
