Now Hiring: Community Engagement Coordinator
Are you a passionate connector who thrives at the intersection of health, community, and equity? Urban Baby Beginnings is hiring a Community Engagement Coordinator to support moms, babies, and families across Virginia! This role combines care coordination, outreach, and program support with a strong focus on maternal health equity.
This is not a remote position and includes travel between our Central Virginia and Tri Cities hospitals.
We’re looking for a joyful, outgoing, purpose-driven Coordinator!
* What You’ll Do:
- Visit families in homes, clinics, and hospitals to assess needs and offer support
- Connect clients to services, schedule care, and follow up with high-risk families
- Support intake, referrals, and case coordination across community and clinical partners to implement care plans
- Promote our programs through events, community outreach, and health fairs
- Lead recruitment and engagement activities—flyers, social media, and public awareness
- Track data, document services, and support program compliance and reporting
- Provide education and advocacy rooted in reproductive justice and racial equity
- Attend Community Events
* This Might Be You If You:
- Have at least 1 year of experience in case management and B.S. in Public Health or a health-related field
- Have experience building great partnerships with hospitals, clinic, and providers
- Are certified as a doula (or have training) and love supporting birthing families
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and love connecting people with resources
- Believe in equity, justice, and uplifting historically marginalized communities
- Have reliable transportation (this role includes field work and travel)
- Proficient in email applications, excel, word and able to learn new systems with ease
