Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher, Paver expert and masonry finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, including finishing techniques and the ability to operate various tools and equipment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning and leveling the area.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications.
- Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Install rebar and other reinforcement materials as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with concrete work.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in renovation projects that may involve plastering, masonry, or flooring installation.
Skills
- Proficient in concrete finishing techniques and methods.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation.
- Experience with construction estimating and project planning.
- Familiarity with hardscape installation and maintenance.
- Ability to operate concrete mixers, power tools, and hand tools effectively.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, and heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and caulking techniques.
- Experience in carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry) is a plus.
- Knowledge of restoration processes including stucco application and tile laying is beneficial.
