Position Overview:
John Melvin Christian College is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and relationship-driven Corporate Sales Representative / Fundraising Specialist to lead and grow revenue-generating initiatives for our expanding athletic department. This role will focus on corporate sponsorships, athletic fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and community partnership development to support JMCC’s student-athletes, team travel, scholarships, and athletic facility improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Sales & Sponsorships
- Develop and execute a corporate sales strategy to secure sponsorships and partnerships with local and regional businesses.
- Manage sponsorship packages, including signage, digital marketing, in-game promotions, and naming rights.
- Build relationships with new sponsors and maintain strong communication with existing partners.
- Fundraising Campaigns
- Coordinate and lead annual fundraising campaigns, capital campaigns, and athletic donor drives.
- Collaborate with the athletic director and coaches to identify fundraising needs and set targets.
- Organize donor events, golf tournaments, alumni days, and athletic banquets.
- Donor and Alumni Engagement
- Establish strong connections with alumni, booster club members, and prospective donors.
- Develop donor recognition programs and stewardship plans to retain and grow donor support.
- Maintain CRM and fundraising databases to track progress and communication.
- Marketing & Outreach
- Work closely with the marketing team to design and promote fundraising materials and campaigns.
- Represent JMCC Athletics at community events, chamber meetings, and corporate functions.
- Serve as an ambassador for the college’s mission to integrate faith and athletics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven success in sales, fundraising, or development—especially within athletics or nonprofit sectors.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for relationship building.
- Experience with CRM software, donor management systems, or sales platforms.
- Knowledge of Christian higher education and a heart for student-athlete development.
