Position Overview:
We are seeking a caring and reliable individual to join our Spokane team as a Customer Relations Specialist. This role involves receiving pets at our Spokane office, reviewing orders and memorial requests, ensuring accurate pet identification and handling throughout the entire chain of custody process, creating ink and clay paw prints, communicating effectively with team members, picking up deceased pets from veterinary clinics and personal homes, and returning memorial packages to pet parents and veterinarians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive pets at our Spokane office, guiding pet parents through the next steps before and after the loss of their pet.
- Review and update cremation orders and memorial requests with families, and process payments.
- Follow established procedures for accurate tracking and identification of pets throughout intake and return.
- Represent Eternal Paws with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication when working with veterinary partners, pet families, and coworkers.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the transport vehicle and office area.
- Pick up deceased pets from veterinary clinics and private residences on scheduled routes.
- Create clay and/or ink paw prints as ordered, ensuring they are properly labeled.
- Monitor and follow the calendar to provide coverage during designated times.
Qualifications:
- Team-oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to respond effectively to changing situations.
- Comfortable handling deceased pets of all sizes — assistance and appropriate tools are provided.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Experience in the veterinary field is helpful but not required.
- Proficient computer skills, including: managing a calendar, processing payments, creating and updating orders, printing order forms, scanning codes, using search filters, and documenting important details in orders.
- Receptive to instruction, coachable, and adaptable in an evolving field.
- Able to manage responsibilities independently while providing compassionate solutions to grieving pet families.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.11 per hour
