Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, experienced and motivated Terminal Manager to oversee the daily operations of our terminal facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and materials management, with proven experience in data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and Coordinating Terminal Activities
- Recruiting, training, and supervising terminal staff, including drivers, dispatchers, and other operational personnel.
- Operational Efficiency: Developing and implementing plans, schedules, and procedures to optimize terminal efficiency and resource utilization.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, including DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Building relationships with customers, resolving issues, and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
- Financial Management: Monitoring and managing the terminal's budget and expenses.
- Maintenance and Equipment Oversight: Ensuring the terminal's infrastructure and equipment are well-maintained.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and profitability.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a terminal or distribution center management role, a plus.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
