We are currently seeking an experienced and personable Dental Office Administrator to join our team and help ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Position Summary:
The Dental Office Administrator is the face of our practice and plays a vital role in patient experience and administrative coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to multitask.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk activities
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using dental practice software
- Manage day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to policies.
- Verify patient insurance and handle billing, claims submission, and payment collections
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Coordinate with dental staff to optimize appointment flow and minimize patient wait times
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally and promptly
- Manage office supplies and ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with patient recalls and treatment plan follow-ups
- Provide administrative support to the dental team and practice manager as needed
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a dental office
- Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance billing, and dental software (Open Dental-preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
