Overview
- We are seeking a dedicated and organized dental receptionist/treatment coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing excellent customer service to patients and working well with members of our team,
- The candidate would have at least 2 years of experience working at the front desk
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out processes
- Schedule and confirm patients’ appointments
- Check and verify insurance benefits prior to patients’ visits
- Prepare treatment plans/financial planning and efficiently present them to patients
- Coordinate insurance benefits with patients and their insurance co-pay.
- Overlook and coordinate the schedules for doctors and hygienists
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details/benefits
- Maintain and update patient dental records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations
- Manage front desk tasks such as filing, organizing paperwork, and maintaining office supplies
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience working in a dental front desk
- Detail-oriented
- Familiarity with dental terminology, dental codes, and dental procedures
- Familiarity with Dentrix
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with healthcare providers and patients.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with dental staff
- Basic understanding of x-ray interpretation
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient care
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Spanish speaking is a plus
Future goals for ideal candidates:
- To be able to work independently in all aspects of the front office; salary will be adjusted according to the increased levels of experience semi-annually.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
