Job Description:
As a Treatment Coordinator/Front Desk Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and help guide them through their treatment journey. Your role will involve managing patient interactions from the initial phone call through to the completion of treatment, including scheduling appointments, discussing treatment options, providing financial information, checking patients in and out and general admin duties for the clinic. This is a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all patients. This position requires a strong and care plan management, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
- Manage the front desk, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries.
- Coordinate treatment plans with patients, explaining recommended procedures and answering questions.
- Present financial options, including insurance coverage, payment plans, and treatment costs.
- Ensure patients fully understand their treatment options and feel comfortable with their care decisions.
- Handle patient check-ins, check-outs, and appointment reminders.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry into dental software.
- Assist with insurance verification, billing, insurance claims, and EOBs.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow and effective communication.
- Ensure compliance with office policies and dental regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dental office, preferably in a Treatment Coordinator and/or Front Desk role.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, insurance, and financial coordination.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage front desk operations efficiently.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Oryx, Curve, Dentrix, ) is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle patient inquiries with care and patience.
- A team player with a positive, patient-focused attitude.
