As a Deal Support Organization (DSO) Pricing Director, you'll leverage your deal pricing strategy, project management, and leadership expertise to optimize deal flow and help the Sales teams of two of our most important divisions (National Accounts Division and Smart Compliance Division).
Reporting to the DSO Senior Director (USA & Global Pricing) with a dotted line to the Business Unit CFO’s, you will lead a Pricing team and assist in establishing the direction of daily activities, ensuring efficient operations, and creating an overall productive and enjoyable working environment for Associates.
In this role, you will be a working leader during times of high volume, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, ensuring the team achieves or exceeds service level agreements. You will have responsibility for the following:
- Leading the Pricing Analyst Team (National Accounts and Smart Compliance Divisions)
- Deal Management-Pricing Exceptions and Price Analysis
- Escalations – Deal-specific Items using PROS Technology
- Support price increases and associated rate changes
- Support pricing execution for new products and services
- New share opportunity and contract renewal pricing support
- Manage miscellaneous post-sale activities

What you’ll do:
Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:
- Lead and direct the pricing activities within ADP’s domestic and global product space
- Function as a consultant and business partner to other groups within ADP, to include CFOs, BU Presidents, and Sales Leaders
- Work across BUs to align pricing structures and approval processes in line with the QTC strategy
- Oversee daily activities of the team to ensure that all work is completed according to scheduled deadlines with attention to quality standards, priorities, and overall goals
- Track and review win rates, losses, and market conditions to make recommendations for market adjustments and/or product promotions
- Enhance understanding and implementation of stakeholders’ strategic goals
- Oversee the use of standard process workflows by team
- Track various productivity and performance standards to ensure that established levels are achieved, especially during critical activity periods
- Manage escalated issues and provide direction
- Collaborate with peers to establish best practices
- Analyze team statistics and prepare reports for the Senior Director (DSO – Global Pricing)
- Evaluate associates on performance and complete annual performance appraisals
- Work in collaboration with associates to establish Individual Development Plans
- Participate in and lead strategic initiatives, stretch assignments and collaboration opportunities with other functions and business units
Experience. You have 10+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- Demonstrated ability to partner with Sales, drive productivity initiatives, and optimize deal-related processes, with a strong understanding of the quote-to-cash process
- At least 5 years of people leadership experience, including handling escalations, and the ability to build and develop highly motivated and engaged teams
- At least 5 years of Pricing or FP&A experience, in a Deal Desk/Client/Customer Service environment
- A strategic thinker with exceptional business acumen
- Strong financial analysis, reporting, and project management skills
- Proven ability to negotiate, influence, and build relationships across various audiences, including senior stakeholders. Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Flexibility during the day-to-day working schedule and availability to work during times of high volume, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end
- Comfortable working in a collaborative leadership environment
- Proficient using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- You’ll have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
For additional comfortability:
- 5+ years of successful experience leading an enterprise level Deal Desk function and partnering with Sales to provide deal pricing strategy
- Leader of leaders experience
