The Bakery Operations Director at Team Woofgang & Co. plays a key leadership
role in program operations and the overall success of our bakery initiatives. This
position ensures high-quality production, a safe and supportive environment for
our Team Members (adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities), and
mission-driven leadership across all bakery activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Bakery Operations & Management
●Maintain and oversee the daily operations of the bakery.
●Plan production schedules and ensure consistent quality control.
●Manage supply orders, vendor relationships, and inventory for bakery
operations.
●Ensure the bakery facility remains organized, safe, and well-maintained.
Staff & Team Member Leadership
●Supervise bakery staff, Team Members, and volunteers with a
strengths-based, inclusive approach.
●Oversee onboarding and orientation for new Team Members and their
caregivers.
●Coordinates and fields inquiries from prospective Team Members,
providing tours to assess their fit and interest level.
●Provide coaching, support, and ongoing feedback to staff to ensure
alignment with program goals.
Community Engagement & Events
●Coordinate participation in local farmers’ markets and pop-up shops
●Build and maintain strong relationships with local schools and transition
programs to support participant integration.
●Actively participate in and support all Team Member social outings and
special events.
Program Development & Collaboration
●Work collaboratively with leadership to expand bakery programming in
alignment with Team Woofgang & Co.’s mission.
●Monitor progress, track outcomes, and share feedback to strengthen
program delivery.
●Foster strong, respectful relationships with Team Members, families, and
community partners.
Qualifications:
●Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and inspire staff,
volunteers, and program participants.
●Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving abilities.
● Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office,
Google Workspace, and database systems.
●Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental
disabilities.
●Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
●Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
●Commitment to the mission and values of Team Woofgang & Co.
Bonus Superpowers:
●Prior experience in vocational training or workforce development
programs.
● CPR or First Aid certification.
●Background in nonprofit program management.
Compensation:
$65,000 – $68,000 annually, based on experience.
