We are looking for a dispatcher for a local concrete pump company. The dispatcher will act as a liaison for customers as well as operators, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. There will also be some data entry as well as invoicing and general accounts receivable tasks. The best dispatchers are able to see the bigger picture, and genuinely excited to help customers. They’re patient, calm under pressure, and communicative. Problem-solving comes naturally to a good dispatcher. They are confident at troubleshooting and investigate if they don’t have enough information.
Responsibilities
- Manage large amounts of incoming calls
- Schedule jobs, assign appropriate operators and equipment
- Communicate jobs and job info to operators
- Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
- Take the extra mile to engage customers
Skills
- Customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Customer/employee orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- General reading, math, and computer skills
