In our time of growth, we are seeking a DME Coordinator
Work Location(s): Bradenton, FL
As part of this role, you will
- Develops operating procedures and practices for DME/Pharmacy posting by leveraging
- Responsible for ensuring proper training of all key stakeholders on standard operating procedures for DME/Pharmacy posting, policies, and documentation within the electronic practice management system.
- Critically reviews and analyzes DME/Pharmacy workflow processes to ensure best practices are in place, and the operations are as efficient and effective as possible.
- Identifies, analyzes, and addresses challenges and breakdowns in the DME/Pharmacy workflow processes.
- Stays abreast of Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payer billing guidelines for DME and communicates these changes to all interested parties.
- Regularly provides key stakeholders with a status on the performance of the business lines, including financial reports, key performance indicators, and reimbursement issues.
- Escalates reimbursement issues with payers, providers, and systems.
- Assists with internal and externally audited processes.
- Cross-trains in other departments to provide adequate coverage for vacation/sick time.
- Maintains an open line of communication with the leadership team on the status of MCR Health operations and key performance indicators as they relate to areas of assigned responsibility.
- Obtains and maintains any identified certifications.
- Promotes the concept of providing an Exceptional Experience to Everyone, Every Time.
- Completes day-to-day tasks to ensure the smooth operation of MCR Health.
- Adheres to all MCR Health policies, procedures, and standards
Job Requirement
- Minimum High School Graduate or GED
- Must have a working knowledge of revenue cycle management principles and practices, including medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 codes, medical billing, commercial/managed care products, government payers, payer credentialing, and financial reporting preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite preferred, EPM, and HER software preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
The DME Coordinator is accountable for the DME's day-to-day business line operations and pharmacy payment posting within the company.
