A Durable Medical Equipment (DME) job involves providing and managing medical equipment for patients. This includes delivering, setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment like wheelchairs, mobility scooters, rollator and hospital beds. DME specialists also educate patients and caregivers on proper equipment usage and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities of a DME Supply Technician:
- Equipment Management: Ordering, receiving, and maintaining an inventory of DME.
- Delivery and Setup: Transporting and setting up equipment at patient homes or healthcare facilities.
- Patient Education: Providing clear instructions on how to use the equipment safely and effectively.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnosing and repairing equipment issues.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of equipment, patient information, and billing.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and healthcare policies.
- Customer Service: Addressing patient inquiries and concerns related to DME.

Requirements
HS Graduate
Valid IN license
Clean driving record
Able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
